MEN'S & LADIES SINGLES MATCH REPORT 

Congratulations to the Zurgena Ladies Singles champion Jan Dando who beat Susie Darby in a thrilling final this morning. Susie went into an early lead, 11-4 after 8 ends but Jan pegged her back to lead 18-15 after 18 ends. Susie then took 4 shots to lead 19-18 and holding 3 in the next end she had one hand on the trophy. Jan rose to the occasion with her last bowl to draw the perfect bowl to save the match and taking 2 shots in the next end she retained the trophy. Well played ladies, it was an excellent and entertaining game. In the Men's Singles final, Shootsie was too strong for Steve Marshall, who put up a spirited display but went down 21-9. Thank you to the organisers, the spectators, Umpire Ian Mason who was ever present, the volunteer Markers and those who helped in the tea hut and plancha. It was a great 4 days with some excellent bowling.
